Music Saves Lives/Free Signed Poster

“Be one of the first 25 people to sign up with music Saves Lives at Taste of Chaos San Diego tomorrow and get a free Macbeth poster signed by atom and david in AVA.

Music Saves Lives, DKMS Americas, and the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour fight leukemia by hosting an on-site bone marrow donor registry at every US concert date. Music Saves Lives will reach out to 100+ concertgoers each night of the tour.

Registration only takes about 10 minutes and a simple buccal swab of the mouth used for bone marrow type matching of possible donors with leukemia patients waiting to be saved. All donors who register with DKMS Americas also become part of the WMDA (World Marrow Donor Association) and the NMDP (National Marrow Donor Program). You must be in good general health and between the ages of 18 and 55 years old to register on the bone marrow donor lists.

Each participate of the Music Saves Lives / Rockstar Taste of Chaos bone marrow registry will be entered to win a week on tour with the 2007 Vans Warped Tour. It will include a tour bus spot, all your meals and air travel if necessary to meet up with the tour on the road. You Must be 18 years of age. More details will be available at our booth on the RTOC.

Resting Bird Productions made a name for itself a few years back when it made the first Dragging the Lake video magazine, which featured videos and interviews from a lot of the bands in the southern california scene.  Mark Eaton is the man behind Resting Bird and thus many if the great videos that come out of the RLP office.  Riding in Vans With Boys and all 3 AVA short films can be attributed to Eaton…a one man show now called ToJo Productions which runs out of the same office as the AVA rehearsal/recording space, MACBETH, Atticus and Loserkids.com to name a few.  Today Mark sat down with the guys and showed them some of the new edited CGI parts of the AVA movie… a project which Tom has been talking about since AVA’s conception.  The guys were freaking on how good it was, you could even hear the pounding from David running down the stairs in excitement.  It was great to see a lot of the hard work from the past two years finally coming together.  Mark has even decided to let his beard grow until one of his biggest projects is finished…we don’t know how his wife feels about it, but we like how he rubs it when he’s thinking.”

“Macbeth released last week their plans for a new series of footwear called Studio Projects, featuring limited edition sneakers designed by some of today’s hottest artists in rock including Hunter Burgan of AFI, Fred Mascherino of Taking Back Sunday and of course…Tom Delonge from Angels And Airwaves. Continuing the success of the AVA Bonham, Tom took the sneaker to a personal level and added his own art from a canvas painting he made off-tour that was centered around one of his favourtite topics…outerspace. He also opted to make it vegan as his tastes are trending toward motr enviromentally friendly products. The line is set to hit US stores in March and the rest of the world in April. Each pair will come with it’s own collection of customized guitar picks”

The Hunter “Stay Fresh” Eliot

Hunter Burgan of AFI was looking for a shoe that complimented his Vegan lifestyle. He worked together with the Macbeth design team to create a Limited Edition, white, synthetic leather Eliot, one of Macbeth’s signature shoe models. Hunter customized the Eliot with his “fresh” personal style and designed the color story to work with the all-white stage production used on the current AFI world tour. Hidden under the sock liner is a web address for Hunter’s own Macbeth Vegan blogging site, where he and a group of very different but equally passionate vegans will post about all things vegan.

The “F.P. Mascherino” velcro Eliot

Fred Mascherino of Taking Back Sunday wanted velcro Eliot’s so bad that when Macbeth finally designed them he customized his own pair. To Fred, Velcro is the ultimate slacker’s invention. “Its quick-on, quick-off and more comfy than tight laces”. Keeping Fred’s comfort and durability needs in mind the traditional canvas was updated to a rip-stop canvas upper while maintaining a completely Vegan shoe. Under the PU sock liner, you will find Fred’s personal quote “i pace the floors, this empty house compare its contents to myself.” Fred also collaborated with Jude Iannelli to create the artwork for the Eliot Velcro. Taking Back Sunday has been a part of the Macbeth family since its inception in 2002.

The Tom Nylon “Bonham”

The Bonham was developed for Tom Delonge of Angels And Airwaves, formerly of the multi-platinum band Blink-182. Tom D. wanted a shoe that was classic, lo-profile and at the same time, durable. Following the success of the Angels And Airwaves leather Bonham, Tom customized the sneaker by adding his own artwork from paintings he created during downtime off tour for the Summer 2007 Studio Projects collection. The Tom Bonham has a rich chocolate nylon upper to give it modern vegan edge. To add personal flavor, Tom inserted the quote “space, the final frontier… and yet, the beginning of intergalactic sex parties” under the PU insole, which is a great example of his infamous and random sense of humor.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
